Welcome to QBI

This initiative focuses on developing innovative quantitative experimental and modeling approaches to understand evolutionary processes, structure/function relationships in biomolecules, and biological networks of molecules and populations. Our goals are to:

• Provide an enhanced graduate and postdoctoral training experience in Quantitative Biology
• Sponsor seminars and conferences to increase the flow of ideas and collaborations between disciplines and between MSU and the broader scientific community
• Develop new computational techniques and promote technology transfer to groups outside MSU
• Promote interdisciplinary hiring
• Develop high-performance computing infrastructure at MSU

Support for the QBI is provided by the MSU Foundation through a Strategic Partnership Grant, by the Office of the Provost for graduate fellowships in Quantitative Biology, and by the College of Natural Science for the Science at the Edge Seminars and QBI Conferences.
